This painting is an original design that was created for my daughter’s nursery for her child. My daughter’s request was simple “I want a tree with an elephant and a bunny looking at the stars. And I want it whimsical.” With that direction I started this very large painting that evolved as time went on and the essential elements took shape. The challenge was to make a very dark evening scene into something with light, warmth and the magic that would capture the imagination of a child.
