The Field is a painting that I find particularly inviting, calm and peaceful.  It is a “dreamy” place where one can simply walk and float deep into thought.  The color pallet was simple, made mostly of various shades of green with just a touch of yellow and purple to draw one’s eye down the path.  The small pond in front breaks up the path and provides another focal point of peaceful serenity.  My daughters have been telling me that in my posts I should always include a “struggle” point that I had with a given painting. But this painting seemed to paint itself and I merely supplied the paint.
